Today we congratulated and acknowledged those students who have achieved Academic Excellence and Academic Merit in their Semester 1 Learning at the Academic Awards Assembly. We encourage all students to continue with their efforts and continue growing and learning in Semester 2. I would also like to congratulate all of the students who did receive a Semester 2 Term 3 Leadership position.
This month the Ashburn House invites all students to have some fun and wear their pyjamas to school on Friday 19 July to support the Pyjama Foundation, which empowers fostered children. So please come dressed in on the day and show your support!
Payments for House Fundraising days can be made in one online payment via our College Website.
Our Year 6 Students will soon be undertaking an education tour of the national capital.
Students will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy.
The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education and to assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government is contributing funding to our school. The total rebate is $90.00 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program. The rebate amount will be paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion. Upon receipt of this rebate, a credit will be applied to your parent account by the accounts department.
Please see attached Term 3 Clubs which is commencing in Week 2.
A friendly reminder Grandparents' Day is coming up next month, which will be held in Week 5, Friday 9 August. The day will include grandparents enjoying morning tea, classroom visits and there will be a special musical performance.
This event is specifically for our lovely grandparents; however, if a grandparent is unable to attend, a special friend is more than welcome to attend instead.
Please see the invitation below and link to book your spot (for catering purposes, please make sure you tick the box for Pre-Prep or Prep to Year 6). We can't wait to see you there!
