Student Wellbeing

Jess McGurk and Tasha Roberts

We hope all students and staff have settled back into the 2024 school year smoothly.

This week we have commenced lunchtime activities. It was fantastic to see Lego Club attended by many secondary students! We look forward to sharing some photos of the finished masterpieces in time. The primary craft club (years 3-6) will this week be making ‘Swiftie’ friendship bracelets. Keep on eye on next weeks newsletter for these.

With the commencement of these lunchtime clubs and establishing a shared wellbeing space for all, we are putting a call out to any families who may have board games or puzzles (with all their pieces and parts) they are no longer using to consider donating. The wellbeing space will gratefully rehome these for you if you do. These can be left at the front office.

The Wellbeing Team have been busy working with coordinators to support students, staff and families in conducting Student Support Group (SSG) meetings for select students. It’s been a great opportunity to get to know students and their families. Thank you to those families who make the time and effort to attend these meetings

Catholic Care Victoria (CCV)- Parent programs & workshops

Over the year, CCV run a wide-range of one-off parent programs, as well as lengthier workshops. The delivery is both online & face-to-face & addresses a range of range of useful topics. Some programs are free, however some attract a cost.

Each term they publish a calendar which will feature on the Parent’s Bulletin & we will also send it out via Compass. In the past, a number of staff & families have participated in CCV programs & have spoken very highly of them.
