2023 Presentation Evening Award Winners

ACADEMIC awards: students who demonstrate excellent academic achievement over the year. These include:

  • Subject Dux- Top student of each subject
  • Academic Excellence –  The Top 20 academic students from each year level based on grade point average and Victorian Curriculum levels across the year.
  • Academic Growth - The top 20 students who have shown the greatest academic improvement when compared to 2022.  Year 7s are excluded from this award as they cannot be compared to 2022.
  • Year Level Dux –The top student of the year level based on assessment tasks.
  • Outstanding Contribution Awards: Recognise students who demonstrate achievement, commitment and significant contribution in a range of areas outside of the classroom.

The Outstanding Contribution categories are:

  • Arts: Includes Visual and Practical Arts, Musical Production and College Play
  • Music: Includes all college bands and choral ensembles.
  • Service: Includes all voluntary service to the college.
  • Sport: Includes all sporting activities representing the college.
  • Outstanding Contribution to the Life of the College Awards:   recognises students who demonstrate outstanding contributions in a range of Outstanding Contribution categories.

The ADF Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork Awards started in 2006 and aims to recognise students who demonstrate leadership and teamwork within both the school and the broader local community.   At the same time, they recognise those who display strong values, such as doing one’s best, respect for others and ‘mateship’, that are integral to Australian society.

 

This year’s award goes to: Kobus Victor

The recipient of our next award the Kwong Lee Dow Scholars Program is a student who has demonstrated both high academic achievement in year 10 and outstanding service to the school and the wider community.  They have qualities of leadership, engagement and involvement.

VM AWARD:

The VCE VM provides students the opportunity to build their personal and professional skills and knowledge important for work/life balance in the 21st Century. The program combines practical work-related experiences with the role of being a positive and active citizen in the larger community.

The Sam Sciuto Memorial Vocational Major Award is presented to a student who has been nominated by their peers and their teachers and who demonstrates the above qualities to the highest standard.

NMVC Excellence Award

The NMVC VET Excellence award celebrates the achievements of a student who has demonstrated excellence in VET.
