Student Wellbeing
Dear Families,
Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful break. We look forward to beginning our partnership with the The Resilience Project. We also look forward to beginning some new Lunchtime Clubs, including a Gardening Club, esports, Lego Construction, Art Clubs and Unicorn Club. This is an important part of student voice- giving them a time to complete activities that they suggest that are led with teachers and assisting adults. This enables students to have a sense of personal empowerment and development of social and emotional skills.
The Resilience Project is committed to teaching positive mental health strategies to prevent mental ill-health and build young people’s capacity to deal with adversity.
Teachers and students will engage in weekly lessons and activities around the key principles of Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness (GEM), and Emotional Literacy to build resilience.
