Let's Support Andrew’s Fight to Save His Life

After Andrew Pearce’s (FNTSFN, Bendigo, VIC) 94th plasma donation at the Blood Bank, he received a phone call advising of an irregularity in his paraprotein levels.

Andrew and his wife Therese, were subsequently told that he has an incurable blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma. After 15 weeks of chemotherapy, hundreds of injections & over 600 tablets, Andrew is now ready for his stem cell collection at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne commencing January 29.

It's then back to Bendigo for another 5 weeks of chemotherapy before a 4 week stay at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre for a stem cell transplant.

Josh Ashworth Rises Above Competitors to Seize Coveted Award

Late last year we shared news of young Josh Ashworth’s nomination for a PMP Award and have since received news from FN Central KW (Morwell, VIC) Director, Brooke Harbour, that he won.

In front of a crowd of 500 property management professionals from all over Australia at Melbourne’s Grand Hyatt, Josh was awarded the 2023 Rising Star Award, edging out 7 other property management competitors who had been in the running.

‘To say we are proud of him is an understatement,’ said Brooke.

‘He is really kicking goals.’

On behalf of all your colleagues at First National, we congratulate you, Josh. Keep up the great work.

Courtney Hughes Impresses Audience with AGM Speech

Just before Christmas, Courtney Hughes of FN Hollett & Lawrance (Northam, WA) was asked to make a presentation to shareholders of the Avon Community Development Foundation at their AGM.

As property manager for the company’s 18-unit complex, Courtney was confident to report to them on her successful management of their property. However, like most of us, Courtney was a little anxious about the AGM being her first public speaking engagement.

With a little help from First National, a speech was prepared and Courtney delivered it with skill and confidence, impressing everyone in attendance and, no doubt, also securing the management rights long into the future.

‘I survived!’ said Courtney after the event.

‘Thank you for helping me feel confident enough to stand up and speak. I found that once I got started, it all started to flow naturally. I ended up speaking personally with so many of the members afterwards and got everyone involved in a group discussion, when we opened the floor for questions. I cannot thank you enough for your support and giving me the tools to do it.’
