Welcome back - School Twilight Picnic Tonight!

Welcome back to St Francis de Sales to all our families. 

We invite our school community to join us on Friday 2 February after school from 5-7 for our SFS Twilight Picnic. This community event celebrates the start of the school year and the feast of St Francis de Sales that occurred during the school holidays on 24 January.

Children will be performing with STOMP at 5pm to get our year off to a sensational start. STOMP worked with our children on Friday for an exciting SWEL week  incursion. 

The picnic will be a FUN community gathering. So grab a chair or a rug and BYO picnic to enjoy and relax with other families on a beautiful summer evening. This is a great chance to meet your child's friends and their parents. 

Welcome to our 2024 Foundation Students.

Our Foundations students had their first day of school on Thursday 1 February. They were all so ready for school and had a great first day. We are so very proud of our Preps. They all had a very happy day and did extremely well. 

When I asked one child how was their day, she replied, "It feels like home." 

What a perfect response! That is just how we want every child to feel. Well done parents, teachers and students for a sensational start.

It was great to have so many parents and grandparents join us for a cuppa after dropping their child off to their home groups. Our very first gathering on the first day of school in our new hall and garden. I am happy to report their were no tears!! All parents handled the morning as well as their children.

It was so exciting to welcome the juniors from MA to my office.

Christ is our inspiration, the very life of our purpose as Catholic Educators. 

Everything we do is illuminated by this.

God let us be open to receiving your light. May we take this light and may it shine on all our community and our friends, as we learn, teach and interact with respect, responsibility and kindness for one another in 2024.
