Hello, from Carolyn.

Webster St school crossing.

A reminder that the Webster St school crossing no longer has a crossing supervisor allocated to it, and, as the volume of traffic using the street is low, council won't be allocating a supervisor to the crossing.

Our teachers will be teaching, and reminding, their students about how to cross the road safely. You can also help your children practise how to cross the road safely.

If you regularly drive to our school to drop off/pick up your children, please make sure you adhere to the speed limit, 40km near our school, and only park in the designated parking spaces.

Doing the right thing reduces the risk of an accident and means that our students and their family members will be safe coming and going from school.

Nude Food.

This year we are encouraging our students to take their rubbish home, and encouraging families to pack 'nude food' lunchboxes whenever you can, so we can reduce the amount of rubbish at school. Many of our families are already packing nude food for their children; choosing to use reusable containers and packing fresh food that isn't pre-packaged. Check the Parents & Friends page in our newsletter for some more ideas.

Every classroom also has a compost bucket and our chickens get to enjoy some food scraps and our compost bins enjoy the rest!

Bendigo PS OSHC.

YMCA operates our Before and After School care program. Check the OSHC page in our newsletter for information about registering your child/ren.

The Before school service was introduced last year at the request of families so please support this service as it is here to support you!

Smile Squad six month fluoride varnish visit.

The Bendigo Health Smile Squad team are heading back to our school to complete six-monthly fluoride varnish applications for those students who have provided consent. Fluoride varnish applications help make sure students have the best chance of preventing tooth decay, so we’re excited Smile Squad are coming back.

Consent for this fluoride varnish application was provided when students’ initial consent forms were returned. However, if anyone has changed their mind and do not wish to receive a fluoride varnish application, they can contact Bendigo Health directly to let them know. Please contact the Smile Squad team via:
