Social and Emotional Learning
This year, our inquiry units have been refreshed and are now known as Systemic Knowledge Units. Throughout the term, students will explore a range of units designed to deepen their understanding of different topics while developing key skills.
Students in Grade 3 will be delving into the following units:
Mind, Body, Emotions: Body Systems and Growth
Belonging to Community: Local Government and Community
Students in Grade 4 will be delving into the following units:
Rules, Rights and Responsibilities: Laws, Democracy and Society
Balanced Diets and Design: Nutrition - Preparing a Balanced Meal
We will also continue to work through the Resilience, Rights, and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) Program for Social and Emotional Learning . This program supports schools and early childhood settings in promoting and modelling respect, positive attitudes, and behaviours. It teaches our children how to build healthy relationships, resilience, and confidence.
Using the RRRR Program, and with support from Open Parachute and Zones of Regulations, we aim to help build positive social interactions across our class and the whole school community.
