Year 12 News

Cross country
On the 24th of February, Year 12 took part in their final Cross Country. While this is a whole school event, this is a special day for Year 12 as it is their final Cross Country, and they had the opportunity to express themselves by dressing up in the theme of “Nostalgia”. We were so impressed by the effort and creativity Year 12 showed on this day, it was amazing to see them come together and enjoy their last year at school.
School photos
On the 17th of February, Year 12 took their last ever school photo. It was a bittersweet moment to see, as Student Advisors, who saw them take their first ever school photos what feels like just a few short years ago. Seeing our students grow into confident, capable and strong young people made us feel proud of everything our wonderful year has achieved. From that moment, it was obvious that Year 12 fully embodies the school ideal that “Women can do anything”. These photos will be released to families in the near future to preserve these special memories.
Preparing for the HSC/staying motivated
Term 1 can be a challenging time for students in Year 12. The end of term 1 represents the middle of Year 12 and this can be a time when motivation starts to slow. Students can feel tired, burnt out, unfocused and demotivated. It’s important that students are taking regular breaks, looking after themselves and each other as well as leaning on the school wellbeing team and teachers for support. Please check in with your daughters and support them to look after their physical and mental health. Year 12 is a marathon not a sprint, taking some time to rest and recover is important to make sure we’re all at our best by the HSC. Being consistent and steady is the key to success.
School events/emails
We encourage all students to keep a close eye on their emails as well as their Year 12 google classroom, and their Year 12 Careers google classroom. All methods of communication are important to share crucial information with all students, but Year 12 especially. Year 12 can be a busy time, and we wouldn’t want any students to miss out on some of the amazing opportunities the school has to offer. Please support your daughters to stay on top of events coming up and assist them in staying organised!
