Year 11 News

This term marks an important milestone for our Year 11 students as they officially begin their senior studies journey. With new expectations, deeper learning, and greater independence, Year 11 is a time of growth, resilience, and discovering what it truly means to be a senior student.
As part of this transition, students are encouraged to build strong study routines early, particularly with the upcoming exam block in Week 9. These assessments provide an important opportunity for students to practise exam conditions, reflect on their learning, and set goals for the remainder of the year. Support is available, and students are reminded to reach out to teachers if they need guidance or clarification as they prepare.
Looking ahead, Week 10 will see students participate in the Life Ready program, a valuable component of senior schooling. The program focuses on practical skills, wellbeing, and decision-making, helping students feel confident and prepared for life beyond the classroom.
Beyond academics, our Year 11 cohort has continued to embrace the wider school experience. The recent Cross-Country event showcased determination, teamwork, and school spirit, with students supporting one another and giving their best effort on the course.
We also acknowledge and celebrate the diversity of our school community. During this period, many students and families observed Ramadan, culminating in the celebration of Eid. We thank our community for fostering an environment of respect, understanding, and inclusivity, and we wish all who celebrated Eid a joyful and meaningful occasion.
As Year 11 students settle into senior studies, we commend them for their positive start and encourage them to stay focused, balanced, and connected. We look forward to supporting them through the challenges and successes that lie ahead.
