Good morning, Parents/Carers,

We have had a fantastic start to 2026 with all students being ready, respectful and safe.

Welcome back BBQ

It was great to see so many families at our Welcome Back BBQ and Information Evening last Wednesday, 18th February.  We hope you had an enjoyable evening with some informative information on the year ahead. Head over to the Welcome Back BBQ tab for photos on the evening.

Sunflower on the Plains Youth Art Competition

Congratulations to Indianna who was awarded a Highly Commended Award for her artwork at the Sunflower on the Plains Youth Art Competition held in Quirindi.  What a great achievement within the community.

Quirindi Zone Swimming Carnival

We wish Arabella, Jackson, Jeremy, Lillian, Parker, Piper, Ruby, Theodore and Tyler the best of luck as they compete at the Quirindi Zone Swimming Carnival today at the new Quirindi Aquatic Centre.  We have been advised that our relay teams have both received a third place. Congratulations!We look forward to hearing all about the day and competition on your return.

Questacon Visit

We were very lucky to receive a visit from Questacon to experience all things science yesterday.  All students were engaged and enjoyed the experience.  Thank you to Questacon, we look forward to seeing you again soon.

School Assembly

Due to Water Polo being on Friday afternoon, we have changed the time of our School Assembly to be held this Friday, 27th February at 9:00am.  2/3O will be performing and our School Swimming Champions will be announced.  All welcome to attend.

Turn Up Awards

We will again be running the Turn Up Awards this year.  The "Turn Up" award was introduced last year to encourage our students to attend school every day.  Each day your child attends their name will be entered into the draw to receive a paddle pop voucher.  A voucher will be issued each week to each class.  If your child attends 5 times in that week they have 5 entries.  If they attend two days in that week they have 2 entries. Congratulations to our winners for Week 4:

Fun Money

We have raised $361.55 so far in our Fun Money account.  Thank you to everyone who purchased Zooper Doopers.  This will go towards helping our students enjoy some fun educational experiences at our school.  Zooper Doopers will remain on sale each day at recess for $1.

Colour Run

It is great to see so many students registered for this year's colour run.  We will be holding the Colour Run on Friday, 13th March. Information to register has been sent home and fundraising is now open and will conclude on the day of the Colour Run.  If you did not receive information to register, please contact our school office for details.  This event is always a success and a lot of fun. We look forward to holding it again this year.
