Junior School Library - Author Visit
On Monday the Junior School welcomed Kristen Darell, for an author visit as part of Book Week. Kristen Darell is the acclaimed author of the Football Fever series, written in collaboration with Football Australia. Kristin explained to the Junior School how pictures tell an amazing story and is now collaborating with Taronga Zoo on another series.
We learned some amazing facts about Taronga Zoo from Kristin. Did you know that Taronga Zoo as a rating system for koala poo?

The author visit was very fun and entertaining as we were able to see how she gets all her ideas and how she puts them neatly into a children’s book. It was interesting seeing all her pets and how much you can learn just from researching to write a book.

I liked how Kristin told us how she made up her stories and how she bases them on real life. I also liked how she gave us a chance to speak as well.
