Principal's News

Dear Families and Friends of Trinity Primary School,
It is great to see how well our children are all setttling into their learning for Term 3 and already much has been completed in each classroom. As you know, student leadership and engagement is very important to us at Trinity and providing opportunities for children in this area enables them to develop skills in leadership, whether in Prep or Year 6. Giving children the opportunity to lead at assemblies or to lead and participate in class meetings enables them to practise these skills and, importantly, have more of a say in what happens at Trinty. This semester, new class leaders were chosen to represent their classes at our weekly SRC meetings and they will work closely with Ms Antonella, our Wellbeing Leader throughout the term. On Monday these chidren were presented with their leader badges at our Monday morning gathering and had their first meeting that afternoon with Ms Anna in Ms Antonella's absence. Congratulations to each of these children who were chosen by their classmates I am confident they will do a great job.

School Fees
Family Fee statements will go out tomorrow with your child so please check bags to ensure these are received. Emails will follow. Thank you to all those families who have already paid their school fees as this greatly assists us in or planning throughout the year.
As always, if at anytime you require assistence or support please do not hesitate to discuss this with me.
Family Learning Conversations
Yesterday families had the opportunity to meet with classroom teachers to discuss the Student Reports from Semester One and to hear the learning goals that their children and teachers have planned together. We hope that these conversations were beneficial for parents and provided an opportunity to further participate in your child's learning journey. Next week families in Year 1/2KT & Year 5/6FA will also have this opportunity on Thursday 7th August.
Term 3 Learning Overviews
Please see below our Term 3 Learning Overviews which outline the learning in all areas of the curriculum for each year level. Please read through these as it will enable you to discuss the term's learning with your child.
Book Week is Coming!
This term we have some exciting opportunities for family engagement as we celebrate Book Week from Monday 18th August to Friday 22nd August. Book Week is a special time each year where schools and libraries across Australia celebrate books, authors, illustrators, and the joy of reading. The theme for book week this year is ‘Book and Adventure!’

NAPLAN
Last week all year 3 & 5 students will have received their NAPLAN reports. Whilst we know these tests are conducted over just a two week period and only measure our Year 3 and Year 5 students in the areas of Literacy and Numeracy they still, however, provide us with important data when looking at areas for whole school celebration and improvement. Teachers and School Leaders will look closely at this data in the coming weeks to analyse our strengths and challenges so that we can implemt whole school strategies for growth for all our children.
