Interact BBQ appreciation

On behalf of the entire team at Pentecost Care, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to EDSC for the recent charity BBQ fundraiser in support of our Community Dinners program for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Your incredible initiative, energy, and generosity have made a real difference. Not only did you raise much-needed funds, but you also raised awareness about the challenges facing vulnerable members of our community that are often overlooked.

Thanks to your efforts, we are able to continue providing warm, nutritious meals and a welcoming environment every Wednesday night to those who need it most. Acts of kindness like yours remind us all of the powerful impact young people can have when they choose to lead with empathy and purpose. We especially appreciate the leadership and support of the College Leadership team whose encouragement and partnership are invaluable in making this collaboration possible.

Trivia Night Success!

Friday 27 June, the Interact team hosted the annual EDSC Trivia Night, which turned out to be a fantastic and successful event. 

Thanks to months of hard work and strong teamwork, the night ran smoothly from the first question all the way through to the winner announcement. All the teachers and families who attended were engaged by the stimulating questions. Daryl (our rotary representative) had a great time being involved in the event and announcing the raffle winners. 

We raised an impressive amount of $794, all for a great cause, the UNHCR, a global organisation dedicated to protecting refugees and forcibly displaced communities. A very special thanks goes to the entire Interact squad, as well as to Daryl and Ms Ruderman, whose efforts helped make the event truly seamless. 

We hope to host Trivia Night again next year with even more students and even more mind-bending questions.
