Cecil Hills High School Students Experience the Magic of MJ the Musical

Last week, Music, Dance, and Showbiz students from Cecil Hills High School had the incredible opportunity to attend  MJ the Musical at Sydney's Lyric Theatre. This unforgettable excursion gave students a real-world experience of the entertainment industry, showcasing the powerful connection between music, dance, storytelling, and live production.

The musical, based on the life and artistry of Michael Jackson, offered students a behind-the-scenes look at how world-class performers and creatives bring a story to life on stage. From dazzling choreography and iconic vocals to lighting, staging, and costume design,  MJ the Musical brought every creative element into focus.

The excursion was designed to deepen students’ understanding of professional performance standards and to link classroom learning with industry practices. For many students, it was also their first time experiencing a large-scale theatrical production in a professional venue.

A huge thank you to the CAPA faculty for organising this enriching and inspiring experience. Events like these remind us how powerful the arts can be,  both on the stage and in our classrooms.
