Music Learning Beyond School
Students at Chatswood Public School engage in many opportunities outside the school, and we are happy to recognise the learning and growth some of our students have undertaken in music ensemble work.
At the beginning of Term 3, Cara and Daniel participated in the Arts Unit Junior State Music Camp with 5 days of immersive learning alongside other Years 5-8 students from across the state. The students rehearsed and performed a range of engaging and high-quality repertoire, culminating in a concert for families on the final night of the camp. They learned from ensemble rehearsals as well as elective workshops to develop their performance skills.
In another program, Sarah M has been selected for a year-long Greater Western Sydney Public Schools String Ensemble. Sarah is part of a group of Year 4-12 students participating in 7 workshops that will culminate in a performance at the Sydney NorthWest Arts Festival.
