What a fantastic week it has been celebrating Education Week. A huge thank you to our school community for joining us at our Open Day and being part of the celebrations. The theme of this year’s Education Week, Ignite Your Potential, has been reflected in everything we’ve seen across classrooms, with students engaged, curious and proud of their learning. Thank you to our amazing teachers for the tireless work they do each day to support, guide and inspire our students. The impact you have in shaping the future is felt well beyond the classroom.
Book Parade
It was also wonderful to hold our Book Week Parade on the same day as our Open Day. Encouraging a love of reading and building the habit of daily reading is such an important part of every child’s learning journey. We saw some fantastic costumes and a great sense of fun and creativity from students and staff alike. Thank you to Mr Matthews for organising such an enjoyable event and helping bring books to life for our school community.
Festival of Choral Music
Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Festival of Choral Music at the Sydney Opera House. Organised by the NSW Department of Education’s Arts Unit, the event brought together school choirs, outstanding soloists and a full orchestra in a truly memorable performance. It was an incredible experience for our senior choir students to perform in such an iconic venue. A big thank you to Ms Gan and Mr Matthews for all the time and effort they put into preparing our students. Their guidance and support helped make it a wonderful opportunity our students will remember for years to come.
Kindy 2026
If your child is starting Kindergarten in 2026, now is the time to enrol. Our orientation sessions begin this term, and it’s important that your child attends all sessions to support a smooth and confident transition to big school. These sessions help children become familiar with the school environment, meet teachers and classmates, and build early connections that make a real difference. You can enrol online at this link:
