Last Tuesday the Kinders celebrated 100 days of Kinder! They enjoyed a variety of 100 themed activities including:

  • Counting out 100 snacks
  • Doing 100 exercises
  • Making 100 shaped glasses
  • Fishing for gems with 100 written on them
  • Painting 100 gumballs in a gumball machine!

Students also recorded what they think they will be like when they are 100!

Step Up Day for all Primary Students

As we are fast approaching the end of the 2024 academic year, plans are well underway for 2025. This includes teacher allocations for the new year.

Step up day is a wonderful way for the students to see who will most likely be their teacher and meet any new classmates who will be joining them in 2025. Students will be told on the day this is most likely their teacher, although please be aware there can be unexpected adjustments over the holiday break.

The students will be given information about what to expect in class in 2025, as well as hear about exciting excursions, camps and other events. They will also participate in some interesting activities, as a taste of what is to come.

Step up day will run the morning of Tuesday 10 December, beginning after recess and finishing at midday. They will then return to their current class for fruit break.

We hope that all the students will be at school on the day and enjoy the opportunity to meet their teacher and visit their 2025 classroom.

We look forward to students experiencing an engaging year of learning in our caring College community.

Primary Assembly

Please note that there will be no more weekly Primary assemblies for Term 4 as classes prepare for our special end of year Celebration Events.

Music is creative!

This term our Primary students have worked on composing songs using different resources including visual art.

Infant students used  air clay to make beautiful artworks of musical notes. It was exciting to see their creativity.

After composing their songs, students then performed them by reading, clapping, singing, or playing different instruments.

We have also been working on aural training this term. Infant students used hands and dots to notate  sounds. Older Primary students applied musical names to what they were listening to. Our students are amazing at listening and picking up the sounds as they develop skills that might one day help them to note down music when they have a melody come to mind - great composers of the future!

Our Primary Choir rehearses every Tuesday at lunchtime. Students are rehearsing for our Christmas performances at the end of this term, as well as beginning preparations for the Eisteddfod next year. Please contact me if you are interested in helping our Choir with singing or playing an instrument.
