EBS Orientation
Our new 2025 Year 11 EBS students were onsite this term for orientation to begin their educational journey with us. Starting with a Welcome to EBS morning session, students and families were invited to share light refreshments and listen to our Guest Speaker, Alice Pung.
Alice is an award-winning author, the writer-in-residence at Janet Clarke Hall across the road at the University of Melbourne, and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University. She enthralled students and families with her many stories and anecdotes and then shifted her focus to resilience, leaving the students feeling empowered to take on 2025.
Students engaged in a Scavenger Hunt, Wellbeing Session and a task where they wrote a letter to their future selves. To be opened on Valedictory Day in 2026, students wrote about how they felt on the first day at EBS and their dreams, hopes and aspirations for the future. Introductory classes for all of their subjects followed ending a successful week of orientation for our 2025 EBS students.
