Pope Francis Award
On Friday, 8 November we were proud to congratulate the Pope Francis students on graduating from the program.
The program is aimed to encourage the involvement of Year 6 students in their local parish, local community and school community. The program aims to encourage us to reflect and pray about the significance of volunteer service.
Earlier this year the student’s participating in the Pope Francis Award program wrote letters to our Pope. In their letters they asked him various questions and told him of the types of service they have been participating in for both the School and Parish community.
We were all very excited to receive a letter from the Vatican.
The students have been giving up their time helping teachers and younger students within our school.
Here at St. Pat’s we are a beacon of hope. Our catholic school is what people of the area look up to. We are a hope and faith filled school with gospel values which are based on the life of Jesus and our Catholic Social teachings. These ask us to reach out to the community in service. We are a Catholic school with a conscience to do things . We have a mission to serve the community.
Go gently
