Tech Club
This term, the Tech Club have been working with the Lego Spike robot kits we borrowed from the Department of Education. Students have enjoyed building robots using technic motors and coding movements using basic block coding and Bluetooth. They have worked so well in small groups to problem solve and build robots to battle each other. Robot Wars was such a big hit, we have agreed to do it again next year (I have booked it again for Term 4, 2025).
Film Making will also return in 2025, following two of our club's films being finalists in the local Film by the Jetty competition. This has been such a successful year for the Tech Club - we have grown in numbers and many of our students are in Year 3, so we have a great future ahead of us! I would like to thank our out going Year 6 members: Thomas, Alan, Saxen and Noah; and our SRC Leaders, Bodhi and Joel. We are excited to announce that Ryan will be joining Bodhi as a 2025 SRC leader (Joel has been elected as School Captain).
If your child has an interest in film making and editing, audio visual, coding or robotics, I encourage them to apply for the Tech Club in 2025!
