NDIS Navigator

Libby Anderson

The National Disability Insurance Agency has set up a dedicated team specifically to handle questions related to NDIS supports and the recent legislative changes.  With things being a bit chaotic right now with the implementation of the changes to NDIS, they are aware that many people are feeling anxious. Clearer guidance is on the way, but it is a bit confusing while we are waiting! So give them a call on 1800 800 110 if you have any questions!

The NDIA is using the information gathered from these calls to improve the resources and updates they’re providing to the public. So, reaching out to them can make a difference.

Here are a few tips for when you call:

  1. Get it in writing: Whatever advice you receive, ask them to email it to you!
  2. Ask for specifics: If they refer you to an operational guideline or policy, request the exact page or section they are referencing.
  3. Trust your instincts: If something doesn’t sound quite right, hang up and call back to speak with someone else. (Yes, I know this is frustrating, I have experienced this myself!)

I am here on Mondays and Thursdays, if you would like some support to make a call or to talk about your child's NDIS plan!
