Showcase and Shine / Christmas Raffle
Our annual end of year Croydon SDS community event - Showcase and Shine is nearly here! We invite all Croydon SDS community family members to this event on Wednesday 4 December, 5-7pm. Please save the date!
Keep an eye out for Christmas Raffle tickets; the raffle will be drawn at the conclusion of our Showcase and Shine evening.
Building Project
Our new administration, library / resource, and pool building is taking shape, with the project at 80 per cent complete. Cabinetry has been installed, and other fittings including lighting, flooring and wall panels are currently being installed. This first stage of the project will be ready to open for use in term 1 next year.
Swimming Program
We recently had some significant maintenance issues with our existing pool and made the decision to close the pool down for the year, ending the 2024 onsite swimming program. We have planned alternate opportunities to engage students in movement and regulating activities across the school. Some students are getting outside to do some gardening, others are spending more time multi-purpose room, while in transition we have identified a larger cohort to participate in the offsite weekly swimming program at Aqua Hub.
School Policy Update
On Monday night at school council, the anaphylaxis policy was reviewed and ratified. You can find this policy with all other Croydon SDS policies on our website and on Compass.
