Principal's Address
Hello Everyone,
Welcome to our Week 8 newsletter! This term is just flying by. Over the next 2 weeks students will be competing their final assessments for the year. During this time of year, it is important to get good quality sleep, healthy breakfasts and lunches, stress free conversations about assessments and ensure there is plenty of time to rest and relax.
This is going to be a busy week. We have swimming lessons, the Small Schools Swimming Carnival and art lessons. Thursday will be a normal Kindy day at school with Mrs Savill and Miss Bry.
Key Dates
- 21st November Small Schools Swimming Carnival - helpers required for the canteen
- 28th November Under/Over 8's Day at Westmar - parents are required to take their own Kindy students on this day.
P&C Working Bee
A huge thank you to the P&C for their incredible effort during the recent working bee. Your hard work in installing the new sprinkler system and tending to the gardens has made such a positive impact on our school grounds. The care and dedication you’ve shown in enhancing our outdoor spaces not only helps keep the environment beautiful but also provides a welcoming place for students, staff, and the wider community to enjoy. We truly appreciate the time and energy you’ve all dedicated to this project – your contributions make a real difference!
Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR Training
Information regarding dates and costs for our upcoming Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR training, being held in January 2025, is included in this newsletter. Please contact the school no later than the 29th of November to book your spot.
Principal Award Winners
This week we have 2 award winners. Congratulations to Kylirrah Rotherick and Chelsea Hiles. Our winner for week 7 was Connor Hiles.
Kindy Transition Mornings
Anyone with a child attending Kindy in 2025 are invited to attend Friday morning play with the current Prep and Kindy children. This is a great opportunity to get used to the school environment and enjoy the wonderful Tuckshop provided by our parents. You are welcome to attend any time from 9.00-11.00am. Bring your hat, water bottle and a fruit snack. We look forward to seeing you there.
Have a fabulous week everyone.
Until next time,
Rebecca
