Dear Parents and Carers,

It is incredible to think that only three weeks remain in the year. As the countdown begins, a flurry of activities is unfolding, filling the air with excitement. At school, preparations are in full swing for upcoming celebrations. Students are busy practicing songs, rehearsing speeches, participating in classroom visits as part of the transition program, and staff are hard at work finalizing student reports.

I feel deeply grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive school community, where the strong collaboration between parents, students, and staff creates an ideal environment for learning and growth.

In Term 4 each year, students from Foundation to Year 5 actively engage in our school-wide transition program, the Step-Up program. This initiative helps students prepare for the next stage in their educational journey by introducing them to their upcoming year level. We understand the vital role a smooth transition plays in a child's academic, social, and emotional development. That is why we prioritize giving your child the time and space to adapt to the idea of moving to a new classroom with different classmates in 2025. This process is highly beneficial for everyone involved.

We encourage parents to discuss their child’s new class with positivity. With the encouragement and support of the adults around them, children can confidently and successfully navigate new experiences.

Christmas Carols and Songs of Celebration

Please diarise our annual Christmas Carols and Songs of Celebration evening on Tuesday, 10th December! This special event is a wonderful chance for families to come together, unwind, and celebrate a fantastic year as a community.

The evening will feature performances from each class, showcasing a variety of songs. The entertainment begins at 5 pm and will conclude around 6 pm. It promises to be a magical evening brimming with festive joy and a strong sense of community spirit.

Bring along a picnic, find a spot on the basketball courts, and enjoy the delightful performances from our students, who have been eagerly rehearsing for this occasion. Please note that this is an alcohol-free event. We look forward to seeing you there!

Please join us – It is time to say thank-you

On Monday we welcome all our amazing parents to a special thank-you morning tea dedicated to our volunteers who have supported us throughout the year.

Our staff deeply values the incredible contributions you make to our school community. From assisting on excursions and helping in classrooms to caring for our chickens, running sausage sizzles, baking delicious treats, managing uniform sales, organizing amazing fundraising events, or serving on the School Council—every effort you have made is truly appreciated.

This is our way of expressing gratitude for the invaluable support and dedication you bring to our school.

Kind regards,

Sharon Wildermuth
