Swimming Program

All students in Years Prep, 1 & 2 completed their annual swimming program at a new venue, Kingswim Mernda. The students have completed a swimming program of 5 lessons during Term 4, which focuses on water safety and learning swimming techniques.

Swimming lessons are an important part of the school curriculum and child development. If you wish to further progress your child’s swimming ability and safety around water, please contact Kingswim or book in at VicSwim for a highly subsidised swimming program.

Sports Day

Throughout this year the Prep, Year 1 and 2 students, have been practicing and developing their fundamental movement skills in Physical Education (PE) and Movement Intervention Program (MIP).

To celebrate their learning and achievements, the Year 6 students designed and facilitated a fantastic Sports Carnival for them to participate in. It was a great day where the Year 6 students helped build our school community, share their learning with the younger students, and for the Early Years and Kinder students to demonstrate courageous learning.

Fun Day!

On Wednesday 27th November, in celebration of all the learning and creative talents of our students, the Early Years students had a FUN DAY!

This day focused on performance, art, and creativity with many exciting activities that allowed the students to continue to explore their passions and God given gifts.

These included a; Circus Incursion with a hilarious performance and workshop, African Drumming Incursion, Dance Disco, Bubble Party at lunchtime, Movie with popcorn and Creative Writing and Drawing.

Primary PE

It has been a full and exciting term of Junior School PE to finish 2024. We began the term with our interschool basketball squad representing the College at the Division Basketball Championship, followed by several students qualifying for the Regional Athletics Championship.

A huge congratulations to Jonah L, who advanced to the State Athletics Championship and finished 7th overall in the state for discus.

The Year 6’s had lots of fun designing and running activities for the Kinder to Year 2 students, in our Early Years Sports day, while all students should be proud of their efforts this term in Year 3/4 sport and interschool sport.

Looking forward to an exciting 2025 in PE!
