Acts of Love In Action

In Grades 5/6

For the past couple of weeks during Term 4, the 5/6 students have been helping out with the distribution of icy-poles. We make the deliveries just before recess so your child has time to eat their snack and enjoy a tasty treat afterwards! They only cost $1, so we encourage you to buy one for your child. The money we get goes to the Catholic Mission.

We’re excited to share our buddy program, where Grade 6 students partner with our new foundation students starting school in 2025. This program started during the second and third visits of our new students in Term 4. Each foundation student is matched with two Grade 6 buddies to help them feel welcome and comfortable as they start school. The buddies will assist the foundation students with finding their way around, making friends, and settling into their classrooms.

This is a great chance for our Grade 6 students to show leadership and kindness, while also building a sense of community in our school.

We can’t wait to see the friendships that develop through this program!
