The Breakfast Club

Dear BEPS Community,
Our Friday Breakfast Club continues to be a wonderful way to start the day, fostering a sense of community, promoting healthy eating habits, and supporting our students’ well-being.
What is the BEPS Breakfast Club?
Every Friday morning, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., Breakfast Club opens its doors to provide a warm, welcoming environment where students can enjoy a nutritious breakfast before the school day begins. The program offers a variety of healthy, Victorian-grown or manufactured foods, including muesli, Vita Brits, whole grain cereals, milk, baked beans, fruit cups, fresh fruits, bread, Vegemite and honey.
Why is Breakfast Important?
Breakfast is truly "the most important meal of the day." It boosts energy, enhances alertness and provides essential nutrients for good health. Starting the day with a nutritious meal helps students concentrate, participate actively and feel confident throughout their lessons.
Building Skills and Friendships
Beyond nutrition, Breakfast Club provides opportunities for students to develop social and life skills. They learn about nutrition, table manners and positive social interactions in a relaxed, friendly environment. It’s also a wonderful chance for children to connect with peers, staff and parent helpers, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
A Big Thank You!
As we begin Term 4, the final term of this year, we would like to sincerely thank:
Parent volunteers for generously giving their time to prepare, serve, and clean up each week.
Our students for their enthusiasm, good manners, and positive energy.
Our staff helpers for their ongoing dedication and care.
Your contributions ensure that Breakfast Club continues to be a safe, fun and nourishing start to the day for all.
Parent Helpers Welcome
We warmly invite parents to join in supporting this valuable program. Parent helpers assist with setting up, serving breakfast and cleaning up afterward. Your involvement helps run the program smoothly and actively supports our school community. If you are available on any Friday morning and would like to lend a hand, please contact April at yea.white@education.vic.gov.au.
A Community Effort
Breakfast Club is a collaborative effort that brings together staff, students, and families to ensure our children start their day positively. As we reflect on the successes of this year, it’s inspiring to see the smiles, laughter and friendships that the program fosters.
Thank You for Your Support!
Let’s continue to support and celebrate the BEPS Breakfast Club in Term 4 — a simple initiative with a profound impact. Together, we are helping shape resilient, confident, and healthy young minds.
Warm regards,
April White
