Specialist Feature News - Physical Education
Selamat Siang semuanya,
We have had a great start to Term 4 in sport! Students have been working hard to finish the year on a high. This week, we have been fortunate to have Luke from Melbourne Tumbling Academy to provide specialised clinics for all stages across the school.
In Foundation, students have been developing their movement skills through practising forward rolls, balancing, and following sequenced movement patterns. They have also had opportunities to explore early handstand progressions.
Throughout Year 1/2, students have continued to build their agility by engaging in activities that promote balance and coordinated movement sequences. They have been working on forward rolls, a range of handstand progressions, and tasks designed to strengthen their upper body.
In the senior school, students have participated in similar learning experiences with an increased focus on fitness and skill progression. They have been exploring a variety of gymnastics jump positions, challenging balance poses, and more advanced skills such as free handstand and cartwheel progressions.
Students have thoroughly enjoyed the program, and we would like to extend our thanks to Luke and the Melbourne Tumbling Academy for providing such an engaging and rewarding experience.
