Inquiry Centre

Highlight
Selamat Siang,
It has been a busy and exciting week in the Inquiry Centre!
In Writing, students have been learning how to include dialogue in their stories. They have been practising using talking marks and choosing speech that helps their characters come alive. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they experiment with adding conversation to make their writing more interesting and expressive.
In Mathematics, our focus has been on fractions. Students have been exploring halves and quarters through hands-on activities, sharing tasks, and real-life examples. They also had the fantastic opportunity to participate in the World of Maths incursion. During this session, students worked together to solve puzzles, use problem-solving strategies, and collaborate in teams to tackle some very tricky mathematical challenges. Their enthusiasm and teamwork were fantastic to see.
In Guided Inquiry, we have continued our unit on Students have been exploring how transport has changed over time and comparing old and modern forms of travel. They have enjoyed investigating different types of transport and learning how these changes have influenced the way people live today.
Have a great weekend!
