Selamat siang,

This week, our students took part in the World of Maths incursion, an exciting hands-on experience that encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking. Students worked together to explore a range of interactive maths challenges, and it was fantastic to see their enthusiasm as they tackled each activity. Additionally in Maths, our focus has been on decimal values and applying this understanding to real-life money situations. Students have been practising how to add dollar amounts and calculate change, using number lines to support their thinking and working out. This has helped deepen their confidence and accuracy with decimals in meaningful, real-world contexts.

In Writing, we have been continuing our work with the Story Grammar Structure and Single Paragraph Outlines. Students have been learning how to strengthen their narratives by using language devices such as similes, metaphors, imagery, and personification. It has been wonderful to see them experimenting with figurative language to bring their ideas to life.

In Guided Inquiry, students have been designing and constructing 3D models of spaces and products while applying the principles of universal design. It has been wonderful to see their creativity shine as they plan, problem-solve, and develop thoughtful, inclusive designs.
