SPLASHING SUCCESS AT PARC: YEAR 2 STUDENTS MAKE WAVES

In lively scenes at PARC this week, Year 2 students showed impressive energy and enthusiasm as they completed lap after lap in the pool.

Throughout the session, students practised a range of swimming strokes, including freestyle and backstroke, whilst also learning essential water-safety skills. Their hard work and determination were easy to spot. Many shared that they now feel far more confident in the water, calling the experience both fun and exciting.

A wonderful result for everyone involved—and a big splash of success for our young swimmers!

YEAR 2 STUDENTS EXPLORE THE PAST IN HISTORY INQUIRY UNIT

Our Year 2 students have been diving into the past this term as part of their History Inquiry Unit, exploring the big question of how things change over time. The classroom has been buzzing with curiosity as students examine old phones, compare past and present technologies, and investigate how life at home has evolved through the decades.

One of the highlights of the unit took place outdoors, where students enjoyed the sunshine while trying their hand at classic games from the past. Marbles and pick-up sticks proved to be a hit, offering a hands-on way to experience playtime before screens and modern toys became the norm.
