Dear Families,
We’ve reached Week 4 and it’s been wonderful to see the students so engaged in their learning. Classrooms are buzzing with curiosity and creativity as we continue exploring new topics across all areas. Thank you for your ongoing support at home—it really helps our students feel confident and ready to learn each day. Don't forget, next week is a short week- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday only.
Friendly Reminder: Please ensure your child is in the correct school uniform and has their name on items that come off and on during the day. This includes jumpers and jackets. We have a lot of lost property at school to check if needed.
This week we learnt about:
Religious Education: We celebrated Mass this week. Thank you to all the readers and well done everyone for the beautiful singing.
Mathematics: This week in Maths, we have been learning about number patterns. Students have been finding, continuing, and creating patterns using numbers. They are learning to describe how the pattern changes and to predict what comes next.

English: In Writing, students are continuing their work on narratives as they explore The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. We have been learning how to build on an existing story by adding new ideas, including describing the setting in detail and introducing an original character. Students are using their imagination to extend the story in creative ways while focusing on using strong vocabulary and sequencing their ideas clearly.

Auslan: This week we are doing our midcycle assessment on colours, pets and farm animals.

Integrated Studies: This week, we have been celebrating and showing appreciation for all the teachers in our lives. Students discussed the many different kinds of teachers they have — from classroom teachers to coaches, family members, and mentors who help them learn new things every day. To express their gratitude, students created thoughtful acrostic poems highlighting the special qualities that make teachers so important and inspiring.

Social & Emotional Learning: This week and last week we are diving deep into learning about trusted adults and what that means. What are the qualities of a trusted adult? Who can be a trusted adult? We will identify trusted adults in our lives at both school and outside of school.
