We did it!
Congratulations to our students, parent helpers and staff on completing our pilgrimage from St Michael’s School to St Patrick’s Cathedral. We were blessed with beautiful weather—blue skies and a comfortable temperature—perfect for walking, talking, laughing, playing and sharing lunch together in the Fitzroy Gardens.
For many of our pilgrims, this was their first visit to St Patrick’s Cathedral. They were in awe of its size and beauty, often comparing it to our own much-loved church of St Michael’s.
After lunch, we returned to the cathedral to celebrate Mass with Monsignor Stuart Hall, the Dean of St Patrick’s, joined by Fr Darien and Deacon Malcolm. Monsignor Stuart’s homily was warmly received; he reminded us that each of us would return home a little different from when we began our journey that morning.
The cathedral gifted the students with either an image of the icons of Mary, our Lady of Perpetual Succor, or St Patrick.

These icons are displayed on either side of the sanctuary in the cathedral. An interesting fact: icons are not drawn or painted, they are written!
We encourage families to find some time to visit St Patrick’s Cathedral together. Take a quiet walk, enjoy the sacred space and, most importantly, spend a moment in prayer as a family.

The Feast of Christ the King is a Catholic celebration that honors Jesus as the king of the whole universe, but his kingdom is different from a typical king's. Instead of a castle, his kingdom is built on love, forgiveness, and peace.
This feast encourages us to follow Jesus by loving and serving others, just as he did
The Feast of Christ the King is the final Sunday of the liturgical calendar – the last Sunday of Ordinary Time. The season of Advent begins the following Sunday.
We will once again be collecting Christmas gifts for Vinnies, to provide something special for people in need at Christmas.
A flyer will be shared with school families suggesting suitable gift donations.
Remember non-perishable food items and toiletries can be donated to our local Vinnies at any time of the year. These donations can be left at the front office.
Pope Leo XIV has asked the world to pray for the prevention of suicide in our world.
Please try to find some quiet time in your busy day to pray Pope Leo's Prayer Intention for the month of November. Thank you.
For the prevention of suicide

Let us pray that those who are struggling with suicidal thoughts might find the support, care, and love they need in their community, and be open to the beauty of life.
Amen
