We really encourage all families to come along to our final Working Bee of the year.

In addition to moving the mountain of mulch in the carpark, we will be:

  • Weeding
  • Uncovering a old hopscotch
  • Sanding and staining/painting the chairs and tables at the front of the school
  • Sweeping/raking /blowing to clean up paths.
  • Installing edging
  • Working in the vege garden

It would be amazing if people could please bring the following tools:

  • Wheelbarrows
  • Shovels/spades
  • Brooms
  • Blowers
  • Sanders
  • Brushes for painting staining

There will be icy poles and water for all who attend, and each child will receive a CANTEEN VOUCHER!!

OSHC Update

As you will have seen from our Compass post, we have appointed Their Care as our new OSHC provider from 30 January 2023.

we are confident that we have appointed a provider that is an excellent fit to partner with the school community and provide the best possible program for our students.

Their Care is focused on child well-being and delivering on its promises to maintain a caring, engaged and open approach to the delivery of OSHC services for all kinds of communities across Victoria. More information is available at www.theircare.com.au

Ritchies Community Benefits

Local Heathmont business Ritchies (formerly IGA) offers a community benefit scheme where a percentage of its members sales back to the community. It’s easy to become a member and nominate Marlborough Primary School as the beneficiary. Find out more here:

Minor Capital Works

As Tim mentioned in his update, we have applied for a Minor Capital Works Upgrade from the Victorian Government for classroom upgrades including partitions, air-conditioning/heating and new ceiling tiles. We won’t know the outcome until December. We continue to work with local MP Will Fowles and his office to advocate for Marlborough Primary and our needs.

Thanks to everyone in the community for their support of School Council, PA and its fundraising activities.

Cheers,

Clare
