Reminders

Early Years Supporting Children with Anxiety

Families of students in Kindergarten, Prep and Year 1 are warmly invited to attend an information session Supporting Children with Anxiety on Monday 23 October.

 

College Psychologist, Kelsey Odgers, will be running this parent information session on supporting children with anxiety and helping them develop confidence and resilience, including some strategies and ways parents/carers can support their young person.

 

The session will run from 5.30 pm - 6.30 pm in the Prep classroom. Please indicate your attendance via the EdSmart slip.

 

Grandparent's Day and Photos

The Junior School warmly welcome grandparents and special people to the St Virgil's College Grandparent's Day on Wednesday 25 October. 

 

This is an opportunity for our extended families to visit the College and share special memories with their grandchild with a Liturgy, classroom visit and Devonshire tea.

 

Please indicate the attendance of your son's grandparent/s and their preference of activities via the EdSmart Slip byFriday 20 October. A photo montage is also being collated; please send one photo of your son and their grandparent/s to jmesser@stvirgils.tas.edu.au by the end of this week.

 

Senior School Learning Group Allocation

As the College prepares for the 2024 academic year, considerable work is being undertaken to ensure learning group allocations best meet the needs of each individual student at the College.

 

To inform this process the College is seeking parent feedback regarding potential learning group allocations for 2024. Please refer to the recent EdSmart Slip sent to parents/carers and provide any feedback by Wednesday 25 October. 

 

End of Year Letters for Senior School students

End of Year letters for Year 7-11 were sent via EdSmart on 11 September. These letters contain crucial information about end of year activities, including a schedule of dates and information about Year 9 camp.
