Principal's Message

Mrs. Cassie Lynch

Dear Families,

Welcome to another exciting edition of our newsletter. We are proud to bring you everything that is happening in our beautiful community on a fortnightly basis. Apologies for the delay in getting our newsletter out but good things sometimes take time.

Tomorrow our school is off to join the Our Lady's Parish for the Feast of the Assumption. This day commemorates the day in our Catholic calendar where we believe that Mary was taken to heaven. As Mary is our namesake, this is an important celebration for us. If you are available, you know we love to have you visit us. Mass will be held at 12pm in Our Lady's Church and we hope to see you there.

Tomorrow I have Kim Butler (Principal Consultant), Zac Fulford (Principal - St. Augustine's Wodonga) & Mary Dunstan (Principal - St. Mary's Benalla) coming to complete an appraisal with me. The purpose of the appraisal is to provide me with feedback about how I am going as a leader of the school. Thank you to all parents who were able to complete the survey that was sent out last month. A special thank you to those parents who have offered to chat further with the panel to gain greater insights into my strengths and areas for improvement. The appraisal process is one way I can get authentic feedback from various stakeholders in our school in order to continually improve, so thank you!

Next week we have our Book Fair celebrations kicking off! On Monday morning we will be holding our annual dress up parade. All are welcome to come along. We will be using the Hall for this event - if you would like to attend please come through the office on Monday morning to sign in. Children are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character.

The parade will commence at 9.00am.

Throughout the week, we will have our Book Fair running. This is a great opportunity to support our school as we receive incentives with every dollar purchased. The Book Fair will run in the Green Room (just next to the library) and contains a range of items from books to stationery. The Book Fair is open between 8.30am - 8.55am each morning and from 3.10pm - 3.30pm each afternoon. Pop on in and grab a bargain!

Bread

As advised yesterday via Class Dojo and email, Open Door Neighbourhood house have generously given us the opportunity to receive a crate of bread products when they are available to them.  On the days that we receive a crate they will be available for students/parents to collect (limit of one product per family) from outside in the courtyard area at the end of the school day.

Blessings,

Cassie
