Kharisma Kids OSHC
What a week of sunny days and wild windy weather to mix up the activities at Before and After School Care.
Happy Father’s Day
The children have been busy making Father’s day craft and cards. Of course, we can’t show you those pictures as it will spoil the surprise on Sunday. To all the Fathers, Stepfathers, Uncles and significant men in the children’s lives at St Francis de Sales, we wish you all a loving and special Sunday.
Vacation Care
The school holidays are approaching, and we have been busy finalising the Vacation Care program. The planner and information will be available on Monday September 2nd. Copies will be available from Rob and Lucas in LS1, on our website www.kharismakids.melbourne by emailing us for a copy at kkids@sfslynbrook.catholic.edu.au and from the school front office.
September 1 marks the start of some important dates.
National Wattle Day- National Wattle Day is celebrated on 1 September, the first day of spring in Australia. The annual celebration commemorates the seasonal change by recognising our national floral emblem and all that it represents for the Australian people.
Spring- Spring is a time of great change. The following natural events occur in spring:
The Earth's axis starts to tilt towards the sun.Days start to get longer;Plants begin to grow and flowers to bloom;Animals awaken from hibernation;Babies - not just human babies - are often born in spring; The season brings rain that falls for hours on end, facilitating the growth of different plant life.
SunSmart-September 1 to April 30 is the SunSmart period. Children will need to wear SunSmart hats from next week at Before and After School Care when the UV levels are 3 and above. Children without a hat will have to play in the shade or a designated area set by staff.
