First Eucharist 

Congratulations to our Grade 4 children who made their First Holy Communion last Sunday. This sacred milestone in their faith journey marks a profound moment in their relationship with God, as they received the Eucharist for the first time.

We are incredibly proud of our Grade 4 students for reaching this significant milestone, and we are grateful to the families, teachers, and catechists who have guided and supported them on this journey. May this First Holy Communion be the beginning of a lifelong relationship with the Eucharist and a deepening of their faith.

Confirmation Reflection Day

On Monday 12 August, our Grade 6 students completed their Confirmation Reflection Day, a significant part of their journey toward receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. This day was filled with thoughtful activities designed to deepen their understanding of the Holy Spirit's role in their lives and to prepare them spiritually for this important sacrament.

We are proud of our Grade 6 students for their thoughtful participation and look forward to supporting them as they continue on this important journey in their faith.

Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

On Thursday, August 15th, we celebrated the annual Feast of the Assumption, a day of great significance in the Catholic Church. This special day commemorates the belief that God took Mary, body and soul, into Heaven at the end of her earthly life.

Our celebration began with a beautiful whole school Mass in honor of Mary, Our Lady of the Assumption. After Mass, students engaged in various classroom activities that deepened their understanding of the Assumption.

That same day, we received a heartfelt email from one of our parishioners who wrote:

"Thank you for our beautiful Mass celebrating Mary, Our Lady of the Assumption. The music was great, the children were absolutely amazing; it was just perfect! Please thank all our fantastic staff for all the work they did and of course the students. They bring such life, prayerfulness, and the beautiful gift of real celebration. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful school!"

We are incredibly grateful for the kind words and support from our parishioners. It is a testament to the dedication of our staff and the enthusiasm of our students. Their participation truly brings our celebrations to life, creating an atmosphere of joy and reverence.

Drew Lane

Our Feast Day celebrations concluded with an exciting and enriching day filled with workshops and a vibrant whole school concert featuring Drew Lane.

Drew Lane is a remarkably talented individual with a diverse skill set that extends across music and education. As a songwriter, accomplished musician, producer, and classroom teacher, Drew has made a significant impact in both the musical and educational communities. His contributions to music include three albums published through Butterfly Music, which highlight his broad range of songs tailored for various occasions throughout the school and church year.

The day began with a series of engaging workshops led by Drew, where students had the opportunity to explore music in a hands-on and interactive way. These workshops were designed to inspire creativity, encourage self expression, and deepen students' appreciation for the role of music in worship and celebration. 

Following the workshops, the whole school gathered for an unforgettable concert featuring Drew Lane. The concert was a highlight of the Feast Day celebrations, showcasing Drew’s impressive musical talent and his ability to connect with audiences of all ages. His performance included a selection of songs from his albums, reflecting the themes and spirit of the Feast Day. The music resonated with students, staff, and families, creating a joyful and celebratory atmosphere.

We are grateful to Drew Lane for his contributions to our Feast Day and for sharing his gifts with our school community. His talent and dedication helped make the day a truly special and inspiring experience for everyone involved.
