When to Call an Ambulance

Victorian Virtual Emergency Department (VVED) is a free public health service for non-life-threatening emergencies.

Access emergency care from anywhere in Victoria, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
You will be connected to our team of emergency doctors and nurses, who are trained to assist you.
All staff working for VVED are fully qualified to deliver emergency care.
You will need a device with a camera to use this service.
Interpreter services are available for patients who prefer to speak in their own language.
If during the VVED consultation the clinicians assess a patient as requiring emergency transport by ambulance to a medical facility, this will be immediately arranged.
