As the weather begins to warm and the days grow longer, we find ourselves at the midpoint of Term 3. It’s hard to believe how quickly the year is moving, but we are thrilled to see how well our mid-year receptions and new starts at Flourishing Hearts have settled in. Across the school, students are fully immersed in a wide range of engaging learning experiences, making the most of every opportunity to learn, grow and develop.
Celebrating the Magic of Book Week
Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating Book Week with a variety of engaging and exciting activities. I would like to extend a huge thank you to all the staff for making Book Week such a successful and enjoyable experience. From the vibrant decorations to the engaging club activities, creative poster making, and the much-anticipated parade, every event was a hit with the students. The hidden snitches added an extra layer of fun and excitement!
A special mention goes to Ms Mardi and Ms Ozgo, whose efforts were instrumental in bringing the theme of 'Reading Is Magic' to life at St Brigid's. Through their dedication, our students expanded their knowledge and inspired one another to embrace the joy of reading.
Year 1 Phonics Screening Check and Reception FELA Phonological Awareness Screen
This week, our Year 1 students took part in the Phonics Screening Check, while our Reception students will complete the FELA Phonological Awareness Screen over the next two weeks. These assessments are designed to help teachers monitor students' progress in phonics. Conducted individually by classroom teachers, the results will be carefully analysed to ensure students are on track and to identify any areas where additional support or extra extension may be needed.
Father's Day
As we approach Father’s Day, it’s a time for reflection and celebration of the special men in our lives who guide and influence us. We recognise that these occasions can be challenging for some families, and we hold you in our thoughts and prayers.
May God's blessing and strength be with all of us as we honour these important figures in our lives.
Yours in Love, Peace and Learning,
