Year 9 Design and Technology
Laser cutting technology has been available to industry for many decades, but only recently has it come down in cost and ease of use to be available for school and home use. In the Year 9 Design and Technology class in Semester 1 and again in Semester 2, students have been learning how to use design software and the laser cutter to create items out of wood. At the moment they are developing their skills by designing and making standard small boxes. The photos show students at various stages in this process. This will lead to a project in which they will design and finish a product of their choice.

Year 8B Food Technology
Zucchini Fritters & Poached Egg
In Food Technology, The 8B students took on the challenge of making zucchini fritters with spring onion and cheese, topped with a perfectly poached egg. For many, poaching an egg was a new technique, and they approached it with focus and determination. As they fried their fritters and carefully poached their eggs, the students demonstrated growing confidence in the kitchen. The finished dishes were both delicious and beautifully presented, showcasing the skills they have developed. The accompanying photos capture the students in action, fully engaged in the cooking process.
