Focus on Good Manners at Holy Family!
Year 6 are participating in ‘Write a Book in a Day’. During this challenge the students are challenged to create a book in a day for children who are suffering from cancer. Along with this challenge, they are required to fundraise a minimum of $250 which is all going to the research to support the children with cancer. We are calling on all Families of the Holy Family community to donate. Please send a small donation to school with your child to support this program. If everyone pitches in we can make a difference to these children’s lives. The Year 6 will be collecting donations from your child’s classroom until Wednesday the 21st August.
We look forward to sharing our book with you when we finish!
Due to the poor weather this week, unfortunately both Soccer Gala Days have been cancelled. We are hoping it will be rescheduled to a later date - we will keep you updated.
We wish our track and field competitors luck as they go on to represent Holy Family at the Cluster Athletics Day next week, 22nd August.
Congratulations to the students who have successfully made into the North Shore Zone Athletics Championships. This will be held on Thursday 22nd August at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Warm up Arena. Students are required to be at school at 8:30am sharp in time to catch the bus to and from North Shore Zone Athletics Championships. Students are required to wear their full sport uniform with hat, runners, sunscreen and plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the day. Students must bring their own packed lunch as purchasing food on the day will be unlikely.
Congratulations to our AMAZING Public Speaking Finalists.

On Wednesday the 14th August, Holy Family had some very special guests!
Two people from the Meerkat Productions came and performed their musical version of the enchanting book ‘Timeless’, a book by the talented author, Kelly Canby.
There were two performers named Caitlin & Jenna. The story ‘Timeless’ is about Emmett, who just wants to own time, to hold it in his hands, and discover what it means! In the end, Granny Grace teaches him to spend his time wisely, such as making time with his family, or exploring the town!
The Meerkat Productions use recycled materials to make their puppets, such as foam, wire, string, and even old ballet tights! They also have a whole team of people, who write, plan and direct the plays they create.
Holy Family thank Meerkat Productions for their amazing performance, it truly was an enjoyable experience for both the students and the teachers! We can’t wait to see more of them in the future!
