CELEBRATING OUR FAITH

This week, students in Years 8 and 9 will be involved in a Christian Living Day. Year 8 will be on Tuesday, 3rd September and Year 9 on Wednesday 4th September here at school.
The Christian Living Days are facilitated by the Lasallian Youth Ministry team. Lasallian Youth Ministry offers opportunities for young people to discover the fullness of life through innovative experiences of faith, service and community. It aims at empowering young people to use their gifts in the service of others. These Christian Living Days are an important part of our school mission and towards the care of the spiritual welfare of each student.
Further information about the days is on Compass. Students are asked to wear plain clothing (with sensible footwear and clothing as students will be moving around for different activities) and they have the opportunity to have chicken and chips for lunch at a cost of $8, which includes a can of soft drink. Money will be collected on the day for orders.
6T will be leading the Stage 3 Mass on Friday, 6 September at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Families and friends are invited to attend the Mass with your students.
Over the last 6 weeks, some students in Year 3 have been preparing for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. These sacraments are significant milestones in their faith journey, giving students an opportunity to deepen their relationship with God. Through Reconciliation, our children will experience the grace of God's forgiveness and the joy of a renewed heart. On Sunday 8th September at the 9:00am Mass, they will partake in their First Holy Communion, receiving the Eucharist and embracing the love of Christ in a special way. We also have 3 Year 6 students who will be receiving the Gift of the Holy Spirit through the sacrament of Confirmation. Please keep our students in your prayers as they take these important steps in their spiritual growth.
Please note that school Mass times are now 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church. Please remember that hot beverages should not be brought into the church.
