Student Support

Dear Families,

I am very pleased to be returning to the role of Inclusion Support Teacher after a period of maternity leave, a role I am very passionate about. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's learning, progress, social or emotional wellbeing, please arrange to speak with your child's teachers in the first instance. Likewise, if your child's teachers have any concerns, they too will organise a meeting to discuss them with you. I may be present at these meetings as we take a strong team approach to supporting our students. Where further steps need to be taken, we will explain these to you and keep you informed throughout to process. 

Through the Armidale Catholic Schools Office, we have access to speech pathology, psychology and counselling services. These are provided free and on-site. Where further intervention or on-going therapy is required, outside sources will need to be obtained. 

In the coming weeks, I will be carrying out some screening assessments for Kindergarten students, other new enrolments and any others as identified by their teachers. These may include early literacy and language assessments, speech and hearing screening. These will enable us to identify potential areas of need where our students may require additional support.

I will be working Tuesdays and Thursdays and can be contacted via the school office.
