Principal's Report

Welcome to the 2026 school year.
As we begin another exciting year of learning, it is a pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all members of our college community — students, families and staff alike. Our shared journey at Beaumaris Secondary College continues to be shaped by a clear and inspiring vision: to create a learning environment where students belong, believe and become — a community that nurtures curiosity, resilience, integrity and purpose.
A special welcome to our Year 7 students and their families, as well as to those joining our college community across Years 8 to 12. Starting at a new school is a significant milestone, and we are delighted to have you as part of Beaumaris Secondary College. We look forward to getting to know you and supporting your journey with us.
At the heart of our college is the belief that student voice matters. We are committed to empowering young people not only to excel academically but also to contribute meaningfully to our school culture and broader community. From classroom discussions and co-curricular opportunities to student leadership and decision-making forums, our students are encouraged to express their ideas, take initiative and collaborate with confidence.
Our core values — Curiosity, Optimism, Respect and Excellence — are lived each day through positive engagement in learning, supportive relationships and a strong sense of belonging. These values guide our work as educators and underpin everything we do to support student wellbeing and achievement.
I am proud of the commitment shown by our students and staff during the start of term. There is a vibrant energy across campus as students reconnect with peers, settle into learning routines, and explore the many opportunities available throughout the school year. I encourage all students to embrace new challenges, be active participants in their learning and seek support when needed — every voice adds strength to our community.
To our families, thank you for your ongoing partnership and trust. Your engagement, encouragement and support are fundamental to our students’ success. Together, we will continue to foster a culture where every young person feels known, valued and inspired to achieve their personal best.
There is a place for everyone at Beaumaris — and at Beaumaris, everyone can find their place in the world.
