The Learning Diversity Team is excited to announce that Mrs Monique Watt has joined the leadership team of our department at school. Monique has been teaching at the school for many years, and has studied inclusion practices and has much experience supporting students with diverse needs. Her heart is for inclusion, with full participation and equity for all.

Sally will continue to oversee the team, and Monique will take over the day to day management of the Learning Support Officers. We have 21 either full time, or part time, staff who are deployed in a variety of roles throughout the school. Monique will also take over the running of the interventions at our school. Within our department, we run QuickSmart Maths program, MacqLit Literacy intervention, Toe by Toe Phonics program and The Listening Program. Monique will establish which students need a boost to their academics, monitor the programs and then supply feedback to both parents and staff on the effectiveness of the program for each child.

This new role of Learning Diversity Co-ordinator is such a blessing to our whole team, and we look forward to the role developing as Monique settles in to the role. If you need to contact Monique for anything relating to her new role, please email her on mwatt@mackillopsh.vic.edu.au or phone on 50329771.
