Foundation Information Session &

Welcome BBQ 3.30p.m.

This week...

Students in Year 2-6 have had the opportunity to apply for roles as Junior School Councillors through classroom presentations and a voting process this week. Students who take part in JSC meet fortnightly with the JSC group, led by Michael Mottershead, to talk about community, local and school based issues and opportunities to improve our school and help those in need.

I am looking forward to our special Assembly tomorrow afternoon where our student leaders, including our JSC team, will receive their leadership badges from our local MP, Eden Foster. I do hope families take the opportunity to come along to assembly and congratulate our student leaders.

Quality Beginnings Celebration Morning

We had an amazing celebration day with students in all year levels joining in the fun!

School Council- Nominations- REMINDER

Information relating to vacancies on School Council was sent home (hard copy) on Friday 9th February to every family. Please read the information carefully and consider joining parents and staff on the 2024 ARPS School Council. This group helps shape the educational direction, facilities decisions and fundraising activities for the school.

Notices sent to all families include information regarding the 2024 ARPS School Council Election process. If you decide to stand for election, you can arrange for someone to nominate you as a candidate or you can nominate yourself. Nomination forms can be picked up at the school office. Once the nomination form is completed, return it to the school office by the due date on the notice.

New School Councillors - There will be four parent positions become available on School Council this year. If you are interested, please give me a call, or see me before or afterschool and I’ll tell you all about it. You can also do your own reading at this link:  https://www2.education.vic.gov.au/pal/school-council-overview/overviewx

Parents who have been on School Council really enjoy it and frequently comment on how much more they know about what’s going on in their child’s school. School Council nomination forms will be available from the front office from Friday Feb 9th, 2024.

School Nurse Visit for Foundation students

Recently parents of Foundation students were provided information about the Primary School Nursing Program, along with a link to an online version of the School Entrant Health Questionnaire.

You can access and complete this questionnaire on a mobile phone, computer or tablet. If you have not yet completed the questionnaire and would like to do so, please use the link below to access the questionnaire:

It is important that all students in Foundation have access to the free service to schools, which supports the health and wellbeing of our youngest students.
