Outstanding improvement again in HSC results!!

For the second time in 3 years THS has received a letter of congratulations from the Secretary of Education on outstanding improvement in 2023 HSC results. 

Only a handful of schools across the state receive these letters, and to be recognised twice in such a short period of time is an incredible achievement.

Army Band Concert

The Band of the 1st Regiment Royal Australian Artillery comprises of 27 Army Reserve members, all of whom are highly skilled musicians and soldiers. They perform across different genres including rock, pop, jazz, classical and traditional military music. 

THS was treated to a performance on 21 March prior to their evening concert in the MPU. Students & teachers couldn't help but get up & dance, it was a very entertaining & high energy performance. 

TAFE

Students attending the Tafe Start Your Future course with a hair & beauty taster course. More courses will be on offer each term.

Science & Engineering Challenge

The Science and Engineering Challenge is a day-long competition designed for Year 9 and 10 students. Students are involved in an exhilarating day competing against other schools in fun and engaging hands-on science and engineering activities such as designing an earthquake proof tower, building a bridge to withstand a weighted trolley, providing electricity to a city or creating a Mars Rover to travel across difficult terrain.

Well done to the students who represented THS & thank you to Mr Armstrong for taking them.
