In the Classroom

International Women's Day

The students were interviewed on Friday, as part of our International Women's Day which is further highlighted in the Principal Chat section. After shaking off some nerves and standing tall the students managed to present their work. Miss Dunn then helped us to put it together and Mrs Crawford has been busy overriding her frustrations to learn how too how to create private you tube channel and make it accessible for this newsletter. Hopefully the perseverance and persistence shall be rewarded, if not we will have to find another way to enable your viewing!

Kindergarten Reading

Kindergarten have been learning to recognise and say the letter sounds for s, a, t, b, i, n, c. The students all practiced their letter sound knowledge when reading a simple story. They all did very well answering the comprehension questions at the end! This is important as it demonstrates the students are understanding what they are reading. Kindergarten are looking forward to learning more sounds to give them the skills to read more words.

Have any parents noticed their child reading some words at home?
